Dear. Lord. Has anybody other than me ever heard of a book called the Perks of Being a Wallflower? If you haven't, I think you should turn back now, because that lovely lime green book is all this journel is going to be about.
I read it a few days ago, all of it, in a few hours, and I have to say that it is one of the best books of all time. Personally, I absolutely adore Patrick. Patrick = love. I would date him. If he were real. And not gay. Then again, that would ruin his awesomeness. Soooooooooooooooooo, I would date him if he were real and willing to be bisexual/straight for a bit. But then again, once again, it would ruin his awesomeness. So, I would be friends with him. Cause. He's. Just. That. Awesome.
I've been thinking about making a short sequal to it. Or maybe a oneshot. In no way could my writing EVER amount to the Jesus-Christ-on-a-crutch-that's-awesome standard that I have created and given Stephen Chbosky. But that's obvious. ANYWHO. It would defenately help me in my quest to broaden my writing horizons. It does help that the book itself is fiction(What a shame. TT.TT)since it seems to be impossible for me to write about a series/movie that have people playing as the characters.
If I do manage it, I'd probably have an OC and be about Patrick. Yes, said OC would be a guy and gay/bisexual. No way in heck would i try to change the sexuality of a character so awesome. Besides, like i said, it would help broaden my horizons in writing. Not like I already have one or two stories with two guys.
But anyway. I totally think everyone should read this book. It can be a bit inappropreate at times, but still. It's awesome. I barely ever get so intuned with a book/movie/series that i want to add onto it. And, with Perks, I laughed alot, and I almost even cried! So yeah. I recommend it for any and all people who love to read a great book.
By the way, I will have no patients for any people who decide to comment only to leave flames about how much they don't like the book or people that happen to be gay/bisexual. Get a life people. Don't degrade theirs. Jesus.
